Hacksawn ("we") is a video production agency. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us, book a call, become a client or work with us, and how we use it.

What we collect

• Contact details: name, e-mail address, company, job title, postal address and website you give us in forms, e-mails or calls.
• Booking details: the time you book a call and the answers you give on the booking page.
• Project information: briefs, feedback, signed agreements and the materials you send us (footage, logos, scripts).
• Payment records: amounts, invoice dates and payment status. Card or bank details are handled by our payment provider (Payoneer), not by us.
• Portal activity: messages and files in your private client channel (Discord or Slack).

How we use it

• To reply to you, schedule calls and send you agreements to sign.
• To run your projects: briefs, reviews, revisions, delivery and invoices.
• To keep the records the law and our agreements require.
• With your permission only: to show your project in our portfolio or case studies.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use client or project data for advertising. The cookies and advertising measurement on our website are described under “Website visitors” below.

Who processes it for us

We use these services to run the work: Google (Gmail, Drive and Calendar), zcal (booking), Discord or Slack (client portal), ClickUp (production tasks), Payoneer (payments), Vercel (website hosting), and our own servers for e-signatures (DocuSeal) and automation (n8n). Each receives only what it needs for its task.

Google account data

Our automation connects only to Hacksawn's own Google account. It sends client e-mails from Gmail, files project documents in Drive and reads booking events from our Calendar. It does not access your Google account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Website visitors (hacksawn.com)

When you visit hacksawn.com we show a cookie banner. Nothing is stored on your device for analytics or advertising until you choose.

• Analytics: if you accept, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and understand how the site is used. It records pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, how you arrived (for example from LinkedIn or Google), clicks on our WhatsApp, e-mail and phone links, and which parts of the page are viewed. We do not send names or e-mail addresses to Google Analytics. If you reject, Google may still receive anonymous pings that carry no cookies or personal identifiers.
• Advertising measurement: if you choose “Accept All”, we also use the Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn measurement tags. They may set cookies and tell those companies that you visited our site and which links you clicked, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who visited. If you reject, or accept analytics only, these tags do not run.
• Your choice: you can change it at any time with “Cookie Settings” in the footer of hacksawn.com, or open the cookie settings now. Rejecting stops new cookies; to remove cookies already set, clear them in your browser settings.
• Retention and transfers: analytics data is kept for 14 months. Our analytics export is stored in the European Union. Google, Meta and LinkedIn may process data in the United States and elsewhere under their own privacy policies and safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
• Not collected: we do not sell this data.

How long we keep it

Project materials are kept for 90 days after final delivery, then may be archived or deleted, as our agreements state. Signed agreements and payment records are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete anything else at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw a portfolio permission or a cookie choice at any time. Write to hacksawn.work@gmail.com.
